The location of Launceston Airport is in the rural area of Western Junction, which is at a distance of 15 kilometers from the city center of Launceston. It follows Horbat Airport in the rate of growth. There is no public transport available from or to the airport. To get to or out of the airport you have to use private means. Parking at the airport is not a hustle because it has a short-term and a long-term car park. There are also airport shuttle buses that operate to and from the aiport. These shuttles also extend their services to other towns like Ulverstone, Burnie, Devonport and Nortwest Tasmanian.

Launceston is the main commercial hub for the North of Tasmania and henece it is growing to be a major tourist centre. Its major tourist attraction is the Cataract Gorge which is close to the city. You can also visit as many parks as you can that are found all over the city. One of them is City Park that is found next to the city centre. Another attraction is the Tasmania Zoo that is famous for its work of conserving the wildlife, this is where the Tasmanian Devil (a small dog-like carnivorous animal) is conserved. The zoo is also located near the city.
